Hello! My name is Dustin Ochoa, and I’m a Support Hero for one of our EdTech partners: a non-profit educational organization with a mission to provide a free, world-class education to anyone, anywhere. I was born in La Ceiba, one of Honduras’s coastal cities and one of its most famous getaways.
Something that’s not that widely known about me are my guilty-pleasure movies, being the High School Musical trilogy some of my favorites.
One of my recently-discovered passions is cooking, and it was one of the things that kept me sane during 2020’s lockdown. Though I usually just cook for myself, I love it when I have to make huge meals, like the ones for Christmas and New Years Eve.
My biggest passion, however, is science, and that’s a passion that has been with me since I was a kid. I remember 4-maybe-5-year-old Dustin, flipping the pages of the different encyclopedias my parents used to have at home, and being amazed by everything I saw but couldn’t understand. Fast-forward to the present day and I’m studying Astronomy and Astrophysics in uni. For a time now, my main life goal is to become an astrophysics research scientist. I wish to help humanity unravel the mysteries of the Universe.
One of the best feelings in the world definitely is taking the first sip of a cup of hot coffee in the morning while listening to one of your favorite songs. That’s when you know you’re about to kickstart a good day.
When I first applied to PartnerHero, back in December 2017, I had in mind that it was just going to be a temporary job.
However, to my surprise, it ended up being so much more than that… and I cannot express how glad I am that it turned out that way. I had no idea I would get the opportunity to learn, develop, and apply several professional and personal skills at a single place.
